Objectives

Through the „Escape rooms for education: fair future without xenophobia” project, we wanted to emphasize the importance of human rights education (HRE). Especially within the context of rising radicalization, xenophobia, discrimination and various violations of human rights. Our goal was to implement other than traditional ways of HRE, for example involving storytelling or including some action. We used gamification as a methodology that included escape rooms for education. Our expectation was that after getting to know how to make escape rooms on socially important issues, youth and NGO workers would be able to influence local societies on a greater level and also to attract more young people to these problems. The objectives of the project were: - to spread ideas about human rights protection among participants, partners and guests of the TC - to provide participants with tools and knowledge on how to organise escape rooms for educational purposes - to equip participants with knowledge, skills and attitudes on new approaches to education, especially HRE - to create 3 toolboxes on escape rooms that can be used later - to make positive impact in such areas as domestic violence, xenophobia and freedom of speech
