Objectives

Through the project entitled "Action Integration", we wanted to contribute to the holistic development of young people from Poland and the Czech Republic in an extracurricular form of education. A key objective was to organise a mobility during which young people exchanged their experiences, learned about other European countries, in particular about cultural history and dance, and engaged in a dialogue on values important to young people. The specific objectives of the project were primarily: - to develop the participants' skills, including interpersonal, language skills: - to increase participants' knowledge of European countries, their cultures, traditions, customs, lifestyles, European values, as well as European projects, - increasing participants' knowledge of respect for human rights, equality, tolerance, attitudes and values, - increasing participants' creativity, autonomy and self-esteem, - increase the intercultural awareness of the participants; - increasing participants' awareness of their own bodies through their active participation and performance in dance classes; - participants making international contacts; - increased motivation among participants to continue participating in non-formal education after returning from mobility. The active participation of young people in the exchange gave them the opportunity for personal and social development, increased their knowledge and familiarity with other cultures and countries. It also enabled them to establish international contacts that will certainly help them in their adult life. Through participation in the project, young people became involved in society and developed a sense of European citizenship and identity. Through the exchange, they improved their knowledge of English, as well as Czech and Polish. Mobility was an ideal opportunity for young people to exchange views, share knowledge and skills. The activities planned during the exchange created an opportunity to find common values with other people from abroad, and enabled a mutual exchange of experiences in the field of dance - the main theme of the mobility. The mobility improved participants' awareness of their own bodies, which translated into better interpersonal interactions; participants were willing to share their knowledge, skills. Dance training was a pretext for learning about each other's history and a prelude to discussions about similarities, differences, expectations, communication culture. Dancing brings people together regardless of political or opinion barriers, and allows people to open up to one another, which facilitates mutual integration. Dancing is also a form of leisure activity, and in an era when obesity is being fought, promoting active forms of recreation is an obligation for young people. Participants in the "Action for Integration" proved that through physical activities and learning dance steps, it is possible for young people from two different countries to integrate fully, to get to know each other's cultures and traditions. They touched upon important topics for young Europeans and made real international friends and acquaintances. With regard to the Local Initiatives Fund, the aim of the project was primarily to: - to increase the capacity of our organisation to undertake activities in the international arena; - to improve the European project management skills of our staff, to gain knowledge on how to conduct, account for and manage mobility projects; - to learn new, innovative working methods and improve existing activities for local communities, especially young people according to their needs and expectations; - to establish international cooperation with a Czech partner.
