The Federation of Youth Associations of the District of Braga is a youth association that emerged with the aim of providing young people with skills every day so that they become more active and aware of their role in European society, emphasizing the importance of cultural and cultural diversity. the inclusion of people with less opportunity to achieve a more integrated society. During its activity and throughout its more than 21 years of history, the Federation of Youth Associations of the District of Braga develops a daily work of inclusion and capacity development in the young generations of the city of Braga and of the cities and communities of the region, since its action is district-wide. In this way, it organizes, over time, various social and volunteer activities, the possibility of international mobility and, above all, it enables support to all associations that integrate the federation, groups that train and develop skills in its participants related to non-formal education informal. It is important to highlight the work carried out on behalf of the association in the most diverse activities with an effective participation of the Federation of Youth Associations of the District of Braga in the community. The project “Am I a leader?” was concerned with the creation of a network of partners formed by entities aware of the problems of the young European generation, who seek to stimulate the spirit of initiative and who are eager to improve the situation in Europe. During the development of the project, it was intended that youth and youth leaders had the perfect notion of what it means to be a leader and to deconstruct the definition, as many “Leaders” believe themselves to be leaders in their organizations, but in the end they are not effective leaders. in the entirety of the concept and term. Thus, daily, we transmit the different concepts and definitions of being a leader. For this, we proposed the development of various leader profiles and where all the learning acquired during the exchange was reflected, an activity that guides the entire youth exchange. This activity allowed the development of the main skills that we wanted to improve in the participants: language skills, social and civic responsibility, cultural sensitivity and personal appreciation when they are called to be leaders in their organizations. The project came about after several international experiences, by some members of the association. Thus, in order to promote a project that would be an asset for young people in the district of Braga that sought to highlight a concern of our organization over time.
