Objectives

This project started from the initiative of 3 young people from Gheorgheni (RO) who were victims of cyberbullying -a form of bullying and harassment on the internet, especially among young people. One of the young people came up with the idea of initiating a project that would meet their need to empower young people to find solutions to cyberbullying. Participating in several Erasmus+ mobilities, they noticed that many young people are faced with online mapping and thus decided to contact their friends in the EU who had similar experiences and to bring them to "fight" against cyberbullying. Due to their motivation to fight cyberbullying, they contacted several participants from HU, MK and CZ of the YE and presented this idea to them. The goal of this project was to create a non-formal international context in which 40 young people from RO, HU, CZ and MK share opinions and experiences about cyberbullying, to learn how to cope with online pressure and especially online bullying and to raise awareness of young people about this phenomenon. The objectives of the project were: O1: Raising the awareness of the 40 young participants from Romania, Ugnaria, Czech Republic and Macedonia about the cyberbullying phenomenon. O2: Increase knowledge about the consequences of cyberbullying and prevention methods among the 40 young participants. O3: Increasing the level of caution on the internet and raising awareness of the danger of cyberbullying among 200 students (indirect beneficiaries) in partner communities. Contribution to EU objectives in the field of youth: 1. Mental health and well-being – The project allowed the exploration of risk factors for exposure to cyberbullying in everyday life, as well as the relationship between this form of aggression and mental health in a group of young people. 2. Inclusive societies – The project encouraged all young people to participate in society and provided access to both formal and informal learning environments, addressing all aspects of inclusion and promoting equality regardless of race and gender. 3. The quality of the learning process – Within the project, different learning methods have been integrated and improved, preparing young people for the challenges of a constantly changing future, especially technological. The project contributed to the objectives of Erasmus+ by: 1. The strategy on inclusion and diversity, helping to include young people with fewer opportunities in transnational projects, respectively our project. 2. The project contributed to the objectives of the national call for proposals 2020 by respecting its horizontal priority, namely to promote inclusion, diversity, equality, gender balance and non-discrimination in education by involving young people with fewer opportunities and by organizing a project at the transnational level. Also, by stimulating the development of its safety and online well-being in the digital world and combating the phenomenon of cyberbullying and online violence, our project has a broader impact at European and national levels. The specific priority of the call was achieved by involving, connecting and empowering young people to participate in a project that addresses a topic such as cyberbullying, a phenomenon that causes different types of social exclusion of those affected.
