Objectives

Why this project? Because young people need us the most, because they are the future and this is no longer a "cliche", as we are facing an invisible enemy, but powerful enough to make the whole world stop. Humanity has been tested these months and we believe that the education of young people was severely affected, especially for the disadvantaged youth which faced difficulties even before the pandemic situation. The first solution found by Ministries was online lessons, online education, online when a big part of young people are living at the edge of poverty. According to the official data (www.edu.ro), about 30% of the students (children and adolescents enrolled in Romanian educational system) do not have access to the internet and technology, especially those coming from rural area and poor communities. Online education when for many of them media literacy is missing, the access to internet is limited to social networks. The youth exchange aims to raise awareness about the importance of solidarity and cooperation among disadvantaged youth from Eastern European countries, increasing the knowledge of 45 young people about equal access to education using expression through different artistic tools: ( forum theater, music, art performance), in order to create a dialogue with the decision makers in the educational field. Objectives of the project: - To capacitate 45 participants from Eastern Europe in organizing forum theater events in their communities; - To increase the participation of 45 participants from Eastern Europe in the decision making process regarding equal education for disadvantaged groups, in their countries; - To offer the opportunity of international mobility for 30 participants from Eastern Europe, and the intercultural exchange for all 45 participants during the project; - To increase the knowledge about artistic tools and how to use them to raise awareness about the importance of solidarity and cooperation, in and outside their communities, for 45 young participants coming from Eastern Europe. We strongly believe that even the opportunity for mobility is a good reason to carry on with this project, as mobility for some group of young people is a privilege they don't have. And we are also aware that this programme offers always opportunity to mobility for milion of young people across Europe and not only. Therefore our project links to the objectives of Erasmus+ programme and to the National Call because: - it offers possibility to travel and experience a intercultural learning to youth from disadvantaged groups, especially of those coming from rural areas in the participating countries; - promotes the solidarity, cooperation and inclusion attitudes among youth from disadvantaged groups; - it creates opportunity for media literacy, engages the youth in decision making processes in the field of education and includes roma communities as well.
