Objectives

Obesity is one of the most important health problems of today’s developed and developing countries. Obesity, in general, is the increase of the body's fat mass to lean mass, and the body weight rises above the desired level compared to its height. As known, nutrition is an indispensable need of life that starts in the womb and continues until the end of life. It is the ability to take adequate and balanced amounts of nutrients necessary for human growth, development, and to live healthy and productive for a long time and use them in the body. To be full up, suppressing hunger is not about eating or drinking the things that you desire. In daily life, individuals (pregnant, lactating, baby, school child, young, old, worker, athlete, cardiovascular, diabetes, high blood pressure disease, respiratory disorders etc.) needs daily energy that changes according to the situation and age, gender, work, genetic and physiological characteristics and disease features. The energy in our body and consumed energy must be in balance to maintain a healthy life. Adipose tissue constitutes 15-18% of body weight in adult men and 20-25% of women. Obesity constitutes 25% for men and 30% for women. Our project has been designed in order to make individuals acquire knowledge about obesity, to make healthy life a habit and to take care of their health in line with these principles. It was aimed to create a behavior change through active participation and modeling in the project. Young people will play an active role in all activities of the project.
