The unemployed youth have been called "a lost generation" not only because of the loss of productivity, but also because of the direct and long-term impact on unemployment and their families. Widespread youth unemployment also leads to a generation excluded from a social point of view, which presents a major risk for poverty. After analyzing all these statistics and realizing that the lack of a job represents a significant problem among young people, we decided that this project should come as a response to the need of young people to become active in the labor market. Thus, the purpose of the "Jobs Challenge" project is represented by increasing the level (ASK) of attitudes, skills and knowledge (how to prepare a CV and a resume, how to apply for a job or how to present yourself to the employer, at an interview, etc.) for integration into the labor market, for 36 young people, aged 18-30 under the coordination of 6 group leaders (no age limit) from the 5 participating countries for a period of 9 days. The aim was achieved by fulfilling the specific objectives set, respectively: OS1. Increasing awareness of the importance of the labor market and the role of young people in the formation of the future European society, during the YE period. OS2. Encouraging and motivating the 42 P's to exchange ideas, thoughts and strategies that will make them ambitious to become productive members of the communities they belong to. Competences will be acquired / developed through non-formal education and through the activities proposed within the project. OS3. The 42 participants will learn how to prepare a Europass CV structured on their skills and abilities, they will learn to write a cover letter that can be adapted for different jobs. (via activities like Europass CV, What does my CV look like?, How do I apply for an interview? How do I present myself at an interview?) OS4: During the implementation of the project, the 42 participants will be explained the stages of completing/obtaining an interview and the steps they must follow in order to be successfully integrated into the labor market. They will improve their communication skills, necessary during the interview. – through the activities How do I show up for an interview? The role-playing game that simulated a job interview. We also mention the fact that the specific objectives achieved were established in accordance with the E+ objectives: - supporting young people to acquire skills aimed at their personal development, but also increasing employment opportunities on the labor market. (ex. activities: Europass CV, How does my CV look?, How do I apply for an interview? How do I show up for an interview?). - increasing employability and improving career prospects for young people. Discussions about how to choose a career and personal experiences will help young people to better choose their next job, thus increasing the chances of building a long-term career. (ex. active.: Jobs Challenges in your country, Unemployment among young people, Personal SWOT analysis, How do I look for a job?) - increasing the employability of young people with fewer opportunities (especially those with fewer financial opportunitites and NEET). (e.g. active Europass CV, How does my CV look?, How do I apply for an interview? How do I show up for an interview?) All this could be achieved because the activities were organized in such a way as to facilitate the opening of borders between cultures and the integration of P in the multicultural context of the project. Thus, team work was preferred over individual work, and the teams were always mixed, from the point of view of nationality and gender. Following the process of personal development that they went through during the exchange, the young people became receptive to the values and principles of others and became more tolerant towards other cultures, religions and backgrounds. In another vein, the "Jobs Challenge" project also presents a social component by including young people with fewer opportunities in the mobility. Thus, another achievement of the project is represented by the fact that we managed to include a number of 19 young people with fewer opportunities as direct P in the exchange. Through this, we managed to give a chance for personal development to some categories of young people for whom access to alternative learning methods is much more difficult than in the case of other categories of people.
