Objectives

Through the Coaching for Youth 2 project we addressed the issue of young people in Europe at risk and especially the number of young NEETs, which at the micro level negatively affects both the local communities they belong to (including the family) and at the macro level. they have an adverse effect on the national economy of the respective countries, negatively affecting the GDP by up to 4%. Considering that approx. 15% of young people in Europe aged 15-29 are in the NEETs category, ie 14 million young people, we set out to carry out this project to help young NEETs find a job or and continue his studies. We also set out to work with young people in our local communities who we know are prone to joining the NEETs group, and we offered them personalized coaching and mentoring sessions. Thus, together with our partners at the urging of young people, we set out in the medium and long term to find solutions and pass on good practices - so that their generation does not become invisible. In this regard, young people and youth workers from 9 organizations (CSOD, Ayuntamiento de Maracena, USB, EUFEMIA, KIYIKOY, Silesian Society for Solidarity, Arte M, INNOVAFORM and Scout Society) set out to develop and implement the project "Coaching for youth 2.0 "addressed primarily to young people around them who have not been involved in any development activity or have been involved at a very weak and disorganized level with no plan for their life, either personally or professionally. As a goal of the project, we aimed to reduce the number of young people in the NEET category in the 9 EU countries partnering in the project. In order to carry out the project activities and obtain the results, we set the following objectives: 1. To develop the capacity of 27 youth workers to provide coaching services to young people with reduced opportunities (eg NEETs) during the project; 2. To increase employment opportunities for min. 270 young people from 9 European countries during the implementation of the project; 3. To develop a new coaching program by the partner organizations. Thus, in order to have visible results, we aimed to select as a target group of the project young people prone to join the ranks of NEETs, young people in the NEETs group but also young people inactive in the local community. Also, through organized activities we aimed to obtain direct benefits, such as providing counseling services to young people aged 16 to 24 on a number of important topics for their age (eg continuing studies, choosing a job / trade, local or international volunteering) within the partner communities: Maracena, Ljubljana, Targu-Jiu, Torino, Kırklareli, Thesaloniki, Szeged, Ostrava, Funchal. In the long term, we aim for all organizations involved in the project to promote the use of counseling services in activities with young people for their integration in local communities and in the European community.
