Objectives

The European Union is currently facing a particularly challenging situation, including current coronavirus pandemic, influx of migrants, above all, because of the rise of far-right populist parties and ever more widespread tendencies of xenophobia and isolationism. Young people must become aware of their membership in a society that is in perpetual political and demographic change. They must understand that they have an identity and a history that is often similar to their European counterparts and, as a result, they must learn to accept the other as a human being by surpassing the differences between their respective cultures. To achieve our objectives, we have worked on a conscious awareness of the spheres of influences (family, professional, virtual, relational,...) that direct our choices, our positions on certain current themes such as migration and the Self-withdrawal in a super-connected world as well as on the awareness of beneficiaries as to the responsibilities that these individual positions have on the collective. The goal of this project is to make each young participant reflect on the fact that intercultural skills offer the opportunity to communicate and interact with each other in order to be better prepared for the future. We believe that diversity can bring enormous benefits to society, as it opens opportunities and perspectives, predisposes to appreciating and respecting the cultures of the other, and promotes tolerance and mutual understanding. Through this project, we hope to explore how stereotypes, prejudices, discrimination cause exclusion and negatively affect society. The objectives of the project is To foster mutual understanding between young people from different countries, To develop solidarity and promote tolerance among young people and encourage creating friendships. To give youth with new and increased awareness, abilities, knowledge, tools, network and experiences that will enable them to become active citizens and to impact their local community, Our project are closely related to the Erasmus + priorities towards the young victims of marginalization; the promotion of diversity, multicultural and interreligious dialogue, common values of freedom and respect for human rights. Also offers the participants an intercultural forum where experiences and good practices from their organisations and communities are shared with young people from other European countries. This will enhance the participants understanding of the bigger context they live in - Europe - and contribute to a positive European development, combat prejudice and enhance the understanding of cultural diversity.
