By implementing the project, we wish to build on and strengthen the relationship and long-term cooperation between the participating organizations. The organizations will learn about each other’s work - in this project, especially Citizens in Action will learn about the work of Ljubjana Pride Association. The participant of the project will learn through active participation about the topics of LGBTIQ+ volunteering and cultural event organization - especially LGBTIQ+ events. The partner organization has a lot of experience with volunteering and with the inclusion of marginalized groups, but not specifically of LGBTIQ+ youth and volunteers. Through participating in the project, they will learn about this topic. The volunteer is an LGBTIQ+ person himself so he has a lot of personal experience with LGBTIQ+ topics, but from Ljubljana Pride Association, he will also gain specialized knowledge of volunteering and event organizing. Objectives of the project are: 1) Building and improving the partnership and long-term cooperation between the organizations 2) Building the partner organization’s competencies for supporting LGBTIQ+ youth 3) Building the participant’s competencies which he will use in his local environment 4) Supporting the creation of a unique cultural event 5) Cooperating with a diverse group of young people with fewer opportunities 6) Reflecting on own practices and gaining new experiences.
