In 2019, we implemented the project Mobility of Youth Workers Supporting Youngsters with Autism in Youth Work, where we learned the basics of working with young people with autism and different methods. After the successful training, individuals and organizations showed great interest in the project and the manual, which addresses the topic of autism, which confirms that this is a current topic. Youth workers work with different youngsters with different needs and backgrounds, including young people with autism and sensory issues. Inclusion of youngsters with disabilities and the rise of the diagnosis of autism indicates that there is a possibility that youth workers will meet in their work youngsters with autism, even if they haven’t met them yet. Therefore, it is important for youth workers and others who work directly with young people, to acquire knowledge and competences in the field of autism and sensory issues, for more successful involvement of young people in the social and civil life or simply in the activity that is being performed. With project we wanted to deepen our knowledge and understanding of autism, this time with focus on sensory issues. Training course included working with young people with autism and sensory issues. Participants prepared various tools and accessories in the field of sensory, which can be included in the sensory room. Young people with autism tested the tools prepared by the participants and gave their feedback. The methods of non-formal education and experimental learning were used.
