We decided to implement the project Pour Faciliter 2021 to address the common need of all participating organisations - the need for skilled facilitators to improve the quality of youth work done by participating organisations. At the time, we (participating organisations) lacked skilled and experienced facilitators to carry out activities for youth. This resulted in lowered quality of youth work, either through improper facilitation of the learning processes, misunderstanding between the youth workers' ideas and understanding of instructions by participants, or insecurities manifesting in the public appearance of youth workers. The training course Pour Faciliter 2021 aimed to increase the quality and quantity of youth work done by our organisations, either by new activities or by the improvement of activities that we already carried out. With the project Pour Faciliter 2021, we aimed to provide an excellent learning opportunity for youth workers to develop the skills they needed to solve our common problem. Specifically, we wanted to organise an international training course focused on developing and building core competencies in the fields of facilitation and public speaking such as facilitation of small groups, using visual thinking, applying knowledge on how teams work, improving their public speaking skills and developing new activities. To achieve our aim, we set up the following objectives: - #1 Participants will be able to deliver a structured inspirational public speech - #2 Participants will be able to facilitate a small group (5 to 15 people) during a workshop - #3 Participants will be able to use visual thinking to better communicate their ideas with their target groups - #4 Participants will design and deliver their own activities during the TC implementing competencies gained during the TC - #5 Partner organisations will get enriched by more competent youth workers and by dissemination of materials
