The objective of this project is to draw attention on simplicity and minimalism. We wanted to bring minimalist lifestyle closer to yourh, which lies in conscious decision to spend more time with things that make us happy and spend less time and money for things we do not need. Simplicity makes our life happier and richer. To become more simple means to prefer quality over quantity and it is valid for all aspects of life: experience, programs, food, electric devices. Our life usually is turning around three things: money, time and objects. We own too many things and majority of them are not important. According to statistics we produce around 1 kg of waste per day by using not so important, useless things with packaging. The main idea behind this project is a kind of slowing down. We wanted to make life of participants slower and more simple during this week. We therefore wanted to realise how we could slow down, what we should prefer in our lives. The activities of the youth exchange helped us to learn about our limits, wishes and aims, which usually play an important role in making right decisions. The aims of the project were: - to motivate young people to learn the minimalist lifestyle - to aim for simplicity in all areas of life - to acquire environmentally conscious thinking - to make balance between online and offline spaces - to motivate young people to spend more time with family and friends
