We believe that this project was a lucrative source for young people to acquire the skills and necessary characteristics that will allow us to adapt with greater flexibility to the new changes of a constantly changing and evolving society. In particular, the project discussed and focused on the acquisition of appropriate skills for equality, adaptation, co-creation, social inclusion, and emotional expression in an intercultural context. Furthermore, it focuses on individual differences as a source of interest, their exploitation and integration in a context of sustainable individual and social development. Therefore, for this project we designed and implemented practices focusing on the use of artistic tools to advocate and strengthen emerging needs for youth development. We focused on experiential informal and non-formal learning as we believe it is functional in supporting a developmental society. We used the art of theater, specifically the art of Clown, through which 52 participants and 14 leaders from diverse cultural backgrounds improved a range of skills and competencies. After the end of the project participants are expected to use the above techniques further. Through our Young Clown project, we wanted to identify ways to support the above. "Young Clown" overcomes the barrier of language expression, as non-verbal communication dominates. Communication takes place in other ways (visual contact, music, etc.). We argue that the only barriers that exist are those that can be overcome. Using play as a vehicle, we discovered the use of clown play in conjunction with other arts as a means of expression and exploration. Co-creation and improvisation were key- components; we believe that the strengths we have identified in this art will be equally lucrative tools in a wider social context. In short, our objectives are the 52 participants and 14 leaders: To be fully involved in the design, implementation and follow up activities strengthening cooperation, co-formation, solidarity and co-creation skills. To develop skills and competences (social, emotional, problem solving, non-verbal communication, self confidence, creativity) through active participation in semi-structured improvisation activities, performances, games (small groups) To organize 16 cultural events in which every country presents their national products and culture engaging all the participants (food, music, dance, customs, historical figures and national symbols) to promote and develop intercultural values and recognise society’s pluralism as a source of interest and development. To be familiar with Key-Erasmus concepts such as informal & non-formal learning, the dissemination of good practices and enhanced cooperation (workshops, semi structured activities, art performances) To design and implement at least 8 follow-up activities each group (theater performance, video-making, article, workshop, boardmanifest) developing skills such as can-do attitude, problem solving, emotional recognition & expression, non-verbal communication for a sustainable and positive social change of young people in their local communities and countries. The objectives link the Erasmus+ Objectives as ‘Young Clown’ is focused on the topics of intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity supporting learning mobility opportunities for young people and youth leaders. Also, supports the recognition of non-formal and informal learning through enhanced cooperation, developing social capital, active participation and dissemination of good practices. The "Young Clown" also focused on efficiently using the potential competencies in a lifelong learning perspective through creative activities. E+ UK national priorities link the objectives as the project enhances the active participation of young people and young people with fewer opportunities in order to improve and strengthen personal skills, critical thinking, the ability of youth to make decisions so that they are able to act effectively in democratic life, the field of youth and civil society.
