At present most young people struggle to find a proper job due to the lack of soft skills. This was the most essential reason we decided to hold the training course. Having developed soft skills and opportunities to improve them raised the quality of youth work in NGOs and possibility to transfer knowledge to young people. Leadership in both online and face to face settings aims to promote a congenial social atmosphere and a lively exchange of views. We mostly involved group leaders/youth workers/educators and young people who usually take responsibility for the group and are notable to go well with every member due to the lack of skills. However, it is known that one of the most important sets of skills for leaders and members are soft skills. So the objectives of the training course were: 1)got participants familiar with the current concept of soft skills(SS), different groups of SS, and their importance in personal and career development. 2)gave to the participants the space to analyze deeper the problems with the SS they face personally and in their work. 3)developed and improved specific SS at the participants (Personal/interpersonal skills, Communication skills, Creative thinking, Presentation skills, Leadership skills). 4)gave to the participants the space to share their experience and best practice on the development of SS. 5)improved participants’ professional competencies, to increase their motivation and satisfaction in daily work. 6) improved and innovate the quality of youth work. 7)inspired the participants to promote SS development among their colleagues, youth target groups and other youth NGOs. 8)fostered inclusion of minorities into the development and self-education. Youth workers feel a lack of adapted and motivational educational tools to engage youth. This was another vital reason for which we aimed to improve the level and quality of youth workers in general. All the objectives were met during the project. The long term run result is visible on the participants as they were using the materials at their workplaces and in their organisations.
