Objectives

For 'Me, You, Everybody' we wanted to help young people to learn skills and gain social education based competencies that are sometimes neglected within formal education, which will ultimately have long-lasting positive effects on their lives and their communities. We want young people to connect with their true self, their beliefs and values as well as with each other. To gain self-esteem and confidence in expressing their views and passions, to collaborate creatively and effectively in an international environment, whilst sharing their ideas openly, able to listen and understand different perspectives and work together mindfully. We believe this project will help young people to become aware, responsive, proactive, authentic and innovative global citizens. The objectives of this project were: - to promote self care and mindfulness whilst fostering the connection with the authentic inner self, their identity and culture whilst learning to engage a healthy mental state with coping strategies to help to prevent negative mental health issues. - to gain self-esteem, self-confidence and encourage young people to step out of comfort zone and become proactive as individuals - to improve creativity, creative problem-solving skills and encourage creative self-expression through arts, mixed media and other communication methods - to improve collaborative skills, teamwork and leadership and foster cooperation between young people from different fields and countries for a more cohesive society - to improve foreign language and communication skills - to raise awareness of active participation and youth leadership - to promote EU values, strengthen international connections and raise intercultural awareness in order to develop a sense of European citizenship and identity and make young people aware of the importance of inclusion and understanding - to encourage young people to be active citizens, understanding activism and environmentalism - to promote lifelong learning, self-development and support the modernization of education by promoting and implementing cooperative non-formal learning by doing activities and promoting the educational programs of the EU For young people we work with, the lack of opportunity for them to express themselves leads to suffocation of their true self and of their inner voice. Ultimately, by doing and saying the things we truly mean, we become aligned with who we really are which leads to acceptance and happiness, and that is going to reflect in their outer world. Many young people across the EU feel an emotional imbalance, general insecurity, low self-esteem and a lack of confidence, creating anxiety and varying levels unhappiness and fulfillment. The modern, complex and technological world has created the fertile ground upon which emotional and psychological pressures are felt much earlier on. Trying to keep up, gain acceptance or fit in, both online and offline can lead to a decline in their own well being, life-skills, and social interaction. Young people can develop lasting self-belief to reach their full potential in life by learning about themselves, their values, and feelings, and by learning how they can express these and be their true selves. By using non-formal methods and creative arts as a tool for learning we can make the learning experience fun and engaging which encourages active participation and openness to develop, as well as a tool for them to share their thoughts and feelings with others. Through creative, collaborative and mindful activities, we encourage cooperation and authenticity. We aim to build trust and friendship between the participants, to help them step by step to dare to freely express and be themselves. Encouraging social mindedness, being an active citizen and youth leadership. Firstly by exploring their own background, thoughts and experiences. Then how that links to those around them; to finally the issues in their communities, the topics they are passionate about and how they can make a change. Thus focusing on 'ME' (themselves), 'YOU' (those around them) and 'EVERYBODY' (national and global.)
