Objectives

What did you want to achieve by implementing the project? What were the objectives of your project? The Youth Exchange “Culture of respect” gathered 36 youngsters from Austria, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Croatia and Armenia. Through this project we wanted to break stereotypes, overcome hate-speech, and fight discrimination. With the project “Culture of respect” aimed to promote equality and eliminate discrimination among young people. The main aim of this project was to promote equality and non-discrimination among young people. No one is born with prejudice but rather has the potential to develop it over time. It is crucial to foster the values of equality and nondiscrimination among youth and it must be done from an early age through formal and non-formal education. The project objectives were to raise awareness of rights among young people, empowering them to recognize and stand up against discrimination and address the relevant institutions to seek legal or other appropriate remedies. At the end of the project, participants promoted non-discrimination and tolerance. The project Learning objectives were: • Learn how to communicate with others using non-violent communication; • Exchange knowledge and examples of good practices in an international group of young people; • Improve knowledge about other cultures and religions and countries; • Promote youth intercultural dialogue and universally shared values; • Rise solidarity and tolerance through intercultural dialogue; • Overcome stereotypes and intolerance; • Organize short workshops about discrimination and intolerance for the local youths; • Build an international network of youth (Facebook group or page or other social networks); • Develop and improve communication skills in English;
