Objectives

By implementing the project, our primary objective was to achieve a multifaceted transformation within the cultural and creative industries. Through extensive research and analysis, we identified several pressing challenges and gaps that needed to be addressed in order to enhance the overall landscape of the sector. Our specific objectives included: 1- Increasing the success and sustainability of small businesses within the cultural and creative industries. We aimed to provide support and develop competencies that would empower entrepreneurs to effectively navigate the challenges of running their businesses and ensure long-term viability. 2- Facilitating employment opportunities for individuals within the sector by improving their professional competence. We sought to enhance their skills and knowledge through targeted training and development programs, making them more competitive in the job market. 3- Promoting entrepreneurship as a viable career alternative by creating business models that efficiently leverage individuals' skills. We aimed to foster an entrepreneurial mindset and provide the necessary tools and resources for individuals to pursue their own ventures within the cultural and creative industries. These objectives guided our project activities and initiatives, with the ultimate goal of driving positive change and growth in the sector. Another important objective of our project was to improve the professional competence of specialists and youth workers in the cultural and creative industries. We recognized the crucial role played by skilled professionals in driving innovation, artistic expression, and the overall quality of work within the sector. However, we also identified a lack of access to formal entrepreneurial and managerial training among these individuals. Many professionals within the cultural and creative industries had exceptional artistic abilities but lacked the necessary business acumen and managerial skills to thrive in a competitive market. Therefore, our project sought to bridge this gap by providing targeted training programs, workshops, and mentorship opportunities to enhance their professional competence. By equipping these specialists and youth workers with the necessary skills and knowledge, we aimed to empower them to seize opportunities, overcome challenges, and contribute effectively to the growth and development of the cultural and creative industries. Furthermore, our project aimed to foster an entrepreneurial mindset among individuals within the cultural and creative industries. Many professionals in the sector viewed entrepreneurship as a potential threat to artistic integrity, and assumptions around money and business were seen as potentially detrimental to the purity of art. Our project aimed to challenge these assumptions and highlight the potential synergy between art and business. By developing efficient and sustainable business models that embraced both artistic expression and commercial viability, we aimed to demonstrate that entrepreneurship could be a positive force within the cultural and creative industries. Through mentorship, counseling, and exposure to successful entrepreneurial case studies, we sought to inspire individuals to embrace entrepreneurship as a viable career alternative and drive positive change within the sector. One of our key objectives was to enhance the success and sustainability of small businesses operating within the cultural and creative industries. We recognized the vital role that these enterprises play in driving economic growth, fostering innovation, and creating employment opportunities. However, we also identified various hurdles that hindered their growth and development. Issues such as financial incompetence, administrative complexities, and the lack of strategic planning often posed significant challenges for these businesses. Our project aimed to provide the necessary support and resources to empower these small businesses, equipping them with the skills and knowledge required to navigate these obstacles successfully. By doing so, we aimed to bolster the overall success rates and long-term sustainability of these enterprises. Additionally, our project aimed to address specific needs and challenges identified through thorough research and analysis. Challenges such as financial incompetence, administrative issues, financial stability and sustainability, expanding business, increasing customer base, internationalization, lack of funding, inability to create a team, strategic planning/decisions, stress, time management, and work-life balance were among the key concerns highlighted by the participants. Our project sought to develop tailored solutions, resources, and support systems to address these challenges effectively. By providing targeted assistance and guidance in these areas, we aimed to empower individuals to overcome obstacles and achieve greater success in their professional endeavors.
