Objectives

The diversity management concept must be researched and understood by young people in order to be capable to implement the culture of diversity in everyday life and work. That is why the young people from 6 participating organisations have decided to design and implement the project "United in Diversity: Building Trust for our Common Future". Unfortunately, because of the conflict in Ukraine, only 5 countries could participate at the end. The project was developed by young people from 6 countries that wanted to develop their diversity management competences and implement a culture of diversity in everyday life and work environment. We strongly believed that working together in the YE with participants and group leaders from Bulgaria, Hungary, Turkey, Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine has led to exchanging practices from different backgrounds and coming up with new solutions to the inclusion problem. The main focus of the project was exploring and exchanging the methods of managing diversity from different scales: on personal, organisational and community levels. Throughout the project implementation we sought to achieve the following specific objectives: – To foster inclusion and promote peaceful co-existence between young people from different countries and cultures; – To develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes of 30 participants relevant for managing diversity on personal, organisational, and community level; – To identify and exchange the practical tools of unlocking young people potential and engaging youngsters with fewer opportunities; – To create an inclusive environment for self-reflection of young people, enhance their active learning and promote the Youthpass tool; – To promote diversity-oriented and inclusive approaches of the Erasmus+ programme and generate ideas of follow-up initiatives in local communities; – To strengthen the cooperation between youth organisations from 6 countries and generate new youth project ideas under the Erasmus+ Key Action 1. The project objectives meet the Erasmus+ programme and, in particular, Key Action 105 priorities: reaching out to marginalised young people, promoting diversity, intercultural and inter-religious dialogue. The project strengthens cooperation between the EU and Partner countries through raising mutual awareness and creating a common vision of the Europe future and the role of youth in its formation. We believe the project exceeded the local impact, and we really tried to achieve a long term change.
