The idea that we wished to achieve on this particular project was to enhance and upgrade youth workers with specific skills in relation now to improve specific competencies and capabilities on how to write and manage a succesful Erasmus+ ka1 project and how to use non-formal education in their daily work with the added emphasis that it will assist local communities. In other words tho accrued new skills will have an impact on their area of residence. That way knowledge will be diffused like a ripple and it will benefit many more than the actual participants. We were aware that not many people YW understood clearly on how best to bring about writing skills and or implementing Erasmus projects. There were gaps in the knowledge of youth workers and given that reality it was inevitable that they would be discouraged from the very beginning if they did not know how to start, write, manage a project of this caliber. There was a lot of proccedural work that needed to be better understood and/or organized. We wanted to have youth workers attain a better grasp of how non-formal education works and to attain capability in how to create a complex project cycle management that could work properly. We also wished to immerse young people in the opportunities that EU projects offer and bring about a more in depth awareness of the EU Erasmus projects in general. The objectives of this particular project were as follows: (1) It was to provide youth workers knowledge and skills on how to effectivly write an Erasmus project (2) To have youth workers get to understand on how to use non-formal education (3) To increase awareness of the participants of European values (4) And also to have youth workers get to understand on how to plan and creaate a project with other partners. More specific tasks of these objectives were to have the youth workers to understand on how to play from beginning to end all relevant activities of a European project ( needs analysis, identification of objectives, choice of partners, project cycle managment, having the youth workers to understand how SWOT scheme and GANNT chart works, having the youth workers grasp how a plan works and its details.
