The global health pandemic has forced us to look at the world around us, re-evaluate the things we took for granted, and to change our daily routines. While COVID-19 continues to dominate our lives, 2020 has seen so many important issues arise. Extreme climate events, access to education, how we interact with each other in a digital world, and the ability to respect different points of view. These are issues that are impossible to ignore. In the current project, we are enabling participants to explore these topics and search for solutions. The current YE is designed to empower youngsters to challenge the status quo and to find their voice. The project general objective is to increase awareness on climate change and offer practical tools and methods that can be used in daily life by youngsters who wish to shape a more sustainable world. The objectives are: - Empower participants with ways to create a better future for our planet by learning practical skills and looking at the role technology can play in tackling climate change - Explore why apathy is a real threat to climate change and how to become climate activists - To enable participants with knowledge, competences and tools useful in order to live a sustainable life style - Enable participants to discover how they can use digital tools to build resilience and resistance and to be proactive leaders of tomorrow - To offer participants information regarding protection of the environment and methods trough which they and the community they live in can become eco-friendly - Enabling participants to act on climate change, for sustainable development and environmental protection through competences and tools for civic engagement - Explore the European Green Deal and discover how the participants can be an active agent for meeting the targets of the plan Within this YE, participants were empowered with strategies to become climate activists and become an inspiration for their peers who also wish to leave a sustainable lifestyle. Youngsters explore how to overcome climate anxiety, learn how technology can unlock activism in everyone, and drive positive change in their community.
