Objectives

The project "Advertising Cultures" aimed to investigate the significance of cultures in our lives and identify the various components that contribute to the formation of culture. Additionally, the project sought to examine the impact of cross-cultural factors on individuals. An important aspect of the project was exploring the concept of localization marketing, which involves tailoring marketing strategies to suit the cultural values and customs of a particular region. This approach recognizes that culture plays a critical role in shaping consumer behaviour and preferences. Our project had 3 objectives which were successfully reached: We created safe non-formal environment where young participants from 5 countries exposed themselves to diversity of people, experienced other cultures and learnt from each other which led to achievement of the Objective 1. Young participants familiarized with localization marketing and through practice discovered how and why the same product is being advertised differently in various cultures considering its traditions, language, customs which led to achieving the Objective 2. Increased cultural awareness of young participants from 5 countries through localization marketing by understanding how our culture (language, traditions and history) shapes and affects many areas – from marketing to ourselves which led to achieving the Objective 3. Achieving objectives translated into fulfilling project goal – increased interculturality of young participants from 5 countries by familiarizing them with and practicing localization marketing, discovering how and why it is being adapted to different cultures, how and why our cultures are different and, consequently, how and why we are different as well.
