Objectives

EDU-facilitation is an 8-day program training course took place in Czech Republic, 26. 3. - 4. 4. 2022 including travel day. We gathered 24 participants coming from 8 different countries: Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Romania, Slovakia and Spain. The aim of this project is to provide the time, space and safe environment to youth workers and educators for their personal development and improvement of creativity and facilitation skills. Participants created innovative educational activities that can be used in their daily work. Testing them on the spot and getting feedback increased their future applicability. They learned how to use experiential learning and facilitative approach to increase the impact and learning outcome of their educational events. Furthermore, aspects of diversity and inclusion were essential for this project, therefore it was reflected in the entire programme to achieve our objectives. Project objectives: - Evaluate personal competences of 29 non-formal learning youth workers and further develop them in a safe training environment (24 participants of the project + 5 facilitators/trainers) - Increase awareness of 29 youth workers about their own values, beliefs, attitudes and behaviour, about cultural and self-expression (considering the use of voice, intonation, body language, gestures, positioning, use of space, mimics, graphics, handwriting etc.) and about own communication patterns in various (learning) settings - Explore individual personal styles, ethics, approaches etc. in non-formal contexts of 29 youth workers - Create, experience and develop non-formal learning methods aiming at supporting the personal and professional development of practitioners through the Creativity Lab - Share and reflect upon personal and organizational experiences in burnout cases, focusing on successful strategies of prevention - Strengthen participants’ knowledge of the Erasmus+ Programme and to provide them with the context to develop new project ideas The working methods used is this project are based on non-formal education, experiential learning and facilitative approach. They encouraged active participation and an atmosphere of inclusion, tolerance towards diversity, acceptance, and trust within the group. Especially in the second part of the training course we often worked in small groups, which provided space for more active participation and involvement of all the participants, an opportunity for deeper reflections and understandings, leading to a more self-directed learning.
