Youth exchange "Images that tell a story" is planned for 01-12 June 2021 in Tsaghkadzor, Armenia. 'Indicators for Europe 2020-deprivation and social exclusion' show that men and women between the ages of 18 and 24 are the worst social exclusion and deprivation circles. 2014 figures indicate that nearly one-third of young people are at risk at this age. To the great disadvantage of unemployed youth, geographical, educational, social, mobility and economic challenges must also be faced. Eurostat report 2017's "Unemployment statistics" notes that youth unemployment rates are typically much higher than the unemployment rates for other age groups. EU28 demonstrates that technical and ICT skills are the most important skills for young people today. Multiple industries value expertise in these fields. In 2006, the European Parliament and the European Council issued a report that included the most appropriate skills and competencies. They revealed the critical importance of eight competencies, in which digital competence played an important role. Organized feedback sessions have resulted in the participation of stakeholders who, in turn, highlight the need to work on this initiative, as the field of youth unemployment, digital literacy and mobility is considered to be one of the areas in which young people need to be involved, as their motivation is much more productive. The project is based on a new approach to integrating non-formal methodes of education related to digital literacy and photography. Nowadays photography has become one of those skill-professional models that offers a wide variety of opportunities for young people to make their living, and the job market in effect has a strong demand for photographers and editors. "Images that tell a story" offers youth living in rural areas in different countries the benefit in broadening their experience in the field of photography in order to gain experience and thereby become successful in the job markets not only in their homelands but worldwide. Main objectives of the project are: • To tackle unemployment in rural areas in different countries and increase the comparative advantages of the local and foreign labor market participants; • To upskill participants’ digital competencies through examination of modern digital tools and platforms; • To improve the skills of the participants in photo shooting, photo editing and promotion through various digital resources and platforms; • To increase recognition of the various youth issues through photography and photo exhibitions; • To view consider opportunities of Erasmus + program from different angles such as mobility, youth employment, and non-formal education; • To promote mutual understanding, intercultural discourse, social engagement, and unity between young people in program and partner countries; • To identify the competencies developed during non-formal education and their certification through Youthpass. Non-formal tools and methods will make up the agenda.
