Objectives

“Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.” - Article 2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) of 1948 With this project we wanted to address the topic of discrimination which is, unfortunately, very common in Europe nowadays. Not only wanted we create a space for dialogue and reflection about it, but also space where we could set up foundations for taking action about it in our communities and speaking up. Through non-reflective lifestyle and stereotyped thinking people might fall into a discrimination pattern not even aware of their actions. Not aware of how they treat and denunciatie people everyday. Some even not aware of human rights, their meaning and range into every person's life. Sometimes it is not only about violating someone's rights, but not knowing the own ones and their possible violation. With this project we have sent a very clear message to participating youth and beyond in a creative way through methods of theatre, storytelling and LARP games which were implemented by youth in their communities after the YE: Let's respect each other's differences and let's create more spaces where we talk and understand each other. The project aimed to achieve the following objectives: => Use non-formal educational methods to share ideas and come up with solutions against discrimination in participating countries so that to contribute to creating an inclusive society in participating countries and internationally; => Foster a deeper understanding and respect towards other individuals with different or similar cultural background => Get to know more about the European Values such as the value of human rights, diversity, respect and tolerance towards different cultures => Improve social and intercultural competence; => Increase the sense of initiative and entrepreneurship; => Share cultures and learn from diversity which young people are going to encounter during the project, as well as diverse experiences they are going to share; => Learn how to communicate differences, which young people encounter in their everyday lives so that to form a base for appreciation and celebration of diversity; => Provide a networking opportunity for youth and form a base for creation of future international activities between youth from different countries; => Learn more about the use of artistic methods for active use in different situations of life => Strengthen cooperation between youth from partner organisations;
