Objectives

This project was developed to tackle the problems of the overloaded major cities and the rural regions, which lack infrastructure and opportunities for young people. Large cities such as Berlin are already offered at the boundary of their possibilities to offer jobs, education and basic needs such as living, electricity and public transport. This can lead to a number of environmental problems: the more people live in a confined space, the more pollution increases, the sewage systems can be overwhelmed, and public health can suffer. The rural escape increases further away from the urban environment. More and more people are looking for a political, economic and social change today because we are unable to rethink our way of life and to consider more sustainable lifestyles. The solution should not be limited to the expansion of the cities and their infrastructure, but efforts should be made to offer rural regions opportunities for sustainable development and equal opportunities. Young people today raise their voice, not only at "Fridays for Future", but in general by define their values and work for a better Europe. It is our responsibility to give you the opportunity to use your potential. We wanted to give them the space to share their concerns and motivate them to get involved socially. Our overarching goal was to inspire young people from different regions and cultures, to develop joint projects for sustainability and the development of rural areas. The goals of the project were: - Discussion and research of the various problems and obstacles with which young people are faced in rural areas; - Exchange of experiences with the move from the country to the city and vice versa; - Comparison of the situation in the individual countries and at an international level; - request to local political decision -makers to deal with the problems and to discuss possible solutions; - Discuss the possibilities for young people in rural regions; - Examine which career opportunities could be created in the country or shifted there; - mediation of basic knowledge of the possibilities of entrepreneurship in rural areas to young people; - Provide young people an immediate experience with different types of jobs and professions that are only available in the country; - Young people give the opportunity to create and carry out their own workshops/activities to encourage them to get involved in the youth field and in their own communities - Mediation of basic project management and soft skills for the development and implementation of innovative ideas to young people.
