The meeting was aimed at young adults who want to deal with the topic of sustainable nutrition and its global context and get to know the different cultural backgrounds. In numerous preliminary meetings, including the evaluation by the participants, the team developed several pedagogical and thematic goals, which can be divided into five blocks: - Getting to know local and global connections through individual and controllable consumer decisions - Identification of financially affordable and environmentally friendly alternatives that promote sustainable lifestyles - Getting to know projects in different countries, developing own projects and starting at home - Experiencing community, shopping and cooking together, taking on responsibility and organization, promoting cooperation - Promote intercultural learning and language skills - Develop new projects and cooperations and start them in home countries with local young people. The participating associations set themselves sustainable goals: to expand cross-generational educational work in rural areas and to identify new development areas and potential in the regions. The 3-country youth encounter series „Planet in deinen Händen - Weßt du was du beisst?/ Planet u tvojim rukama - Da li znaš što jedeš?/ Planet in your hands - do you know what you bite? / Planète entre vos mains - savez-vous ce que vous mordez?“ marks the start of another planned educational series that deals with the topic of sustainable nutrition and social changes in various European regions (Brandenburg, Lika and Brittany), old and new jobs and opportunities that a common Europe offers through their own actions. In these three encounters, the focus was on sustainable nutrition. The very different professional backgrounds of the team leaders enabled a combination of experience-oriented exercises from intercultural learning, sensitization to sustainable lifestyles and experiential education. Especially at the beginning, a lot of value was placed on cooperation exercises in order to strengthen the group feeling. During the activities, care was taken to alternate regularly between work in the plenum and in small groups. The program was designed along the formulated goals and implemented accordingly. This made it possible for the participants to include them in the design of the joint seminar week.
