Culture is an important part of peoples lives, and one prone to many misconceptions. Misconceptions about culture leads to stereotyping, prejudice and eventually even discrimination. We, project initiators, supported by ‘Stichting Schoolclash’, and ‘NGO Stella’, and in cooperation with “’Clash! Exchange & Learning’, ‘Youth For The World’, and ‘Inovatyvi karta’ aim to promote cultural and ethnic diversity and tolerance, and raise public awareness of intolerance issues, in order to eventually achieve cultural acceptance. We strive to do this through art, because art is the window to the soul. By letting the participants create their own end product – a unique promotional video – they will be challenged to work together effectively, and communicate efficiently. It is also our objective to promote the development of non-formal learning among young people, and in the end empower our future generation. During the project we will: • directly work with a group of young people on the issue of cultural intolerance; • conduct workshops on cultural acceptance; • find ways to raise awareness of cultural acceptance in society through discussions; • present the results of the exchange through video distribution. We will tackle our identified issue with the participants as follows: • discussion of the problem; • search for methods of its solution; • working in groups to raise awareness through workshops; • work with the local community to identify the specifics of the problem; • creating a social roller coaster that will promote cultural acceptance; • dissemination of the end product via social networks on the pages of public organizations, partner pages, European institutions and personal pages.
