Sahel Vision Deutschland e.V. is an organization made up mainly of people of immigrant background who have been living in Germany for three generations. And we often organize meetings with this public to value their cultural and social approach. With our organization, we intend to put our weight to mark and value our differences. To ask the question of the existence of one or more "Europes" may seem strange, yet the European identity is complex. First of all, we can question the geographical unity of the continent, its borders, its living environment. The debate also exists at the level of the populations: in spite of common features, shared heritages, political and cultural Europe is also very diverse. The construction of a European Union embodies the will to build a united community. The motto adopted by the EU is therefore emblematic: "unity in diversity". This motto is at the origin of several discussions in our structure, in particular with the questions of current events taken up by a certain political class which wants to divide Europe and wishes its cultural homogeneity. We wished to continue this debate with our partners within the framework of this youth exchange project and to contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of the young people within the framework of this project. We wanted to continue this debate with our partners in the framework of this youth exchange project and to bring this theme of diversity back to the heart of the European reality. The objectives of this exchange were the following: - To debate with the young people on the themes of diversity and intercultural learning with music and dance as a gateway (in complementarity) in different forms. - To encourage exchanges between young people from different social and cultural backgrounds. - To encourage the expression of young people by developing the practice of music and dance or other physical expressions. - To create communication tools to transform the image of neighborhoods and their inhabitants in difficult areas. - To enrich the diversity and the contribution of migrant populations. - To create tools to fight against racism and discrimination. - To exchange and share through dance and other body expressions in order to multiply or train by peers. During the week of the project, we worked together on the themes of cultural diversity and interculturality in different workshops but also in an informal setting. By musical expression, we worked on singing, the use of musical instruments and dancing. Different forms of physical expression were also favored. They allowed us a physical contact between the young people and the knowledge of the other's culture. The participants were between 18 and 25 years old and came from 5 countries. The exchange took place from November 15 to 23, 2021 in Hamburg, Germany.
