The main goal of the youth exchange ‘Volunteering is a Work of HeArt’ was to promote volunteering and voluntary work among young people coming from Denmark, Poland, North Macedonia, Spain, Italy, Serbia and Turkey. During the youth exchange, the young people learned about the importance of volunteering and its impact on youth development, especially in the area of developing soft skills. Moreover, the young people learned about various volunteering practices across participating countries and the importance of volunteering in addressing social exclusion, and discrimination and building more inclusive societies. Youth exchange ‘Volunteering is a Work of HeArt’ was implemented in the line with the following objectives: -to equip the participants with knowledge on the concept of volunteering and its impact on young people’s development; -to explore volunteering as a way of promoting social cohesion and social inclusion; -to discuss the impact of volunteering on future career possibilities of young people and their active involvement in their societies; -to create a series of media products (videos, interviews, and article) encouraging young people to volunteer; -to develop digital competencies of the participants needed to create and to share media content (videos, articles); -to provide the participants a space to develop their soft skills such as teamwork, communication and problem-solving in intercultural settings; -to increase participants’ knowledge on Erasmus + Programme and to facilitate creating new project ideas supporting active involvement of young people in their communities and the societies; -to equip the participants by knowledge on European Solidarity Corps Programme and to encourage to take part in the programme. It means that besides encouraging the participants to volunteer we also aimed to increase the knowledge of the participants about the Erasmus + Programme and empower them to take part in its different actions.
