The use of internet services and modern technology as a primary means for socialization became a new domain of socio-emotional development for adolescents, and this created some concerns. While the main idea of the internet was to promote socialization by increasing communication opportunities, its use is linked to a vast range of online risks, one of which is cyberbullying. This motivated the organizations that were interested in tackling this issue and formed a partnership that gathered NGOs from EE, HU, RO, LT and CZ, with the intention to take action and guide 49 young participants to learn, combat, and raise awareness about cyberbullying, its causes, and significant negative effects. Through this project, we wanted to achieve the following objectives: 1. Developed awareness among all 49 participants of the various forms of cyberbullying, as well as learned how to develop and enforce structured plans on preventing, recognizing, and stopping bullying. 2. Fostered an international space where the 49 participants gained coping aptitudes designed to enhance their resilience, interpersonal relations, and emotional literacy, while exhibiting a fundamental knowledge and attitudes of gender equality, social inclusion, and common values. 3. Provided the youth workers (group leaders and volunteers) with effective non-formal methods of learning, prevent bullying and help participants facing fewer opportunities to overcome their condition. The project contributed to the EU Youth Goals in the following way: • Mental Health & Well-being – Dived into the factors associated with exposure to real-life bullying, cyberbullying, and explored the relationship between these types of bullying and mental health among youth. • Inclusive Societies – Enabled and ensured the inclusion of all young people in society, ensured that all young people had equal access to formal and non-formal learning environments, addressing all the dimensions of inclusion and gender equality. • Quality learning - Integrated and improved different forms of learning, equipping young people for the challenges of an ever-changing life in the 21st century.
