Objectives

Our group is active in addressing European social issues and trying to find solution over them as much as possible. Our collaboration with other partners who are also focusing on social inclusion issues, is vital. Our group has the experience of 8 years in working in youth projects. This is why we think that through youth working we can support social change through EDUCATION. "Education is the weapon to change the world" double action was our opportunity to form a social change through supporting youth initiatives with exchanging good educational practices and introducing new methodologies. With raising the awareness and highlighting this topic, we did our best in training more youngsters towards underlining EDUCATION and bringing in as a solution into many social issues that our communities are facing. This action managed to: 1. Improve the level of key competences and skills of youth workers in developing their knowledge about the topic of social inclusion and intercultural learning through non formal education methods; 2. Enhance the meaning of multiple forms of culture, intercultural dialogue, cultural diversity from all ways and forms of communication; 3. Promote the importance of collaboration and social inclusion, focusing on homelessness and the support which can be given from youth working for this problem. Here we extensively mention the most basic issues which were addressed through the A2, YE : -Increasing the skills of youth workers regarding to the non-formal learning, -Contributing to increasing of key competences of youth workers, -Supporting the partnerships of institutions that work in the field of youth, -Supporting the partnerships between public institutions and non-governmental organisations locally, -Emphasizing to the number of uneducated or illiterate people and supporting the works in this field, -Supporting the youngsters to be more determinatives in the politics implemented regarding to socially excluded youngsters, -Calling attention to the existence of illiterate youngsters in societies, -Contributing to creating projects in long term for the inclusion of youngsters facing educational difficulties in the society and contributing to non-governmental organizations to take active role, -Developing the sense of citizenship of the European Union. -Understanding the importance of Human rights and analysing the link between efficient understanding of Human Rights and Education Other more general points which were successfully addressed through our action: > Learning new concepts, approaches and terminologies from other languages > Learning about different cultures > Being more open towards people coming from different countries and cultures > Learning more about their mother tongue by teaching their language to others. > Learning different ways to present the project – writing materials, making posters or leaflets to promote or inform about the project, meetings with and presentations for local people, etc. > Improving communication with others – active listening, expressing yourself, giving words to your thoughts and feelings, etc > Learning new words and expressions (such as European dimension, evaluation, aims and objectives, participant, beneficiary, young people with fewer opportunities, inclusion, application, active participation, discrimination, the zones of comfort, etc.) The methods, tools and techniques we used during all project workshops and activities, focused on the 8 key competences. All the tools which were used satisfied the following criteria : -included elements of generic methods, - provided a possibility for participants to identify their own learning, - the tools were not fixed or closed but rather they were open for adaptation according to the participants needs ( group's needs), - transferring educational objects into practice, - engaging participants in the learning process, - combined the theme, the competences and the target groups when at the same time it motivated the personal growth and creativity. Success is a strong motivating force so we supported it in all aspects during all of our project activities. The learning to learn process and the support of the capacity of the partner organizations were some of our subtle objectives too and through our all activities, both those topics were strongly supported.
