Advances in the conquest of the rights of persons with disabilities require the sustained and articulated commitment of all sectors of society, with the conviction that no individual action will achieve the goal of a society for all without the necessary support of a Responsible and committed work. Communication can be an important barrier for people with some kind of visual or auditory disability since in a mostly oral society, those who use alternative forms of communication tend to receive exclusive treatment and this limits equal opportunities, that translates today into day in which the labor and social integration of these people, in many occasions, is compromised at risk to develop a fully integrated life. These people have more difficulties than other people to accommodate different contexts. From this reality, the question arises if we really "adapt" communication changes in the development of daily life for people who have some kind of need or special abilities for conviction, respect and empathy or rather we only do it at the time of address specific issues of disability and inclusion depending on whether we have users with special needs or abilities, functional diversity. With this exchange proposed and designed by young people with the same and identical concerns from 6 entities from different countries, we propose to create a true awareness of the importance of the priority and pressing COMMUNICATIVE adaptation of the daily actions that people develop in our common life in training, work, social and leisure areas towards people who suffer from some type of disability, understanding that they are people like us and have the same rights to express themselves and be understood without having to become socially isolated and suffer feelings of shame, anger , impotence, frustration, despair or depression because of the impossibility of not being able to access the same opportunities that society denies them due to lack of attitude, means and willingness to communicate in all their daily actions. We want to banish the false myth that "pretending" inclusion does not mean being inclusive. General objectives of the exchange will be: - Promote, protect and ensure the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms for all persons with disabilities, and promote respect for their inherent dignity. - Promote and create a culture of adaptation and communicative integration adapted to the needs of each person. More specifically, we will try to achieve these specific objectives: - Give voice to people and young people with disabilities, as independent citizens and protagonists of their own lives within the European youth mobility opportunities that ERASMUS + offers them. - Avoid discriminatory and stigmatizing language that puts the emphasis on disability ahead of the person's condition. - Include people with disabilities as part of the general population in all types of information and not only in those in which disability is the central issue. - Address information from a contextualized approach. - Offer an active image of people with disabilities. - Bring the opportunities of the ERASMUS + program to the young participants of the exchange and the local populations and cities that we visit. - To create a real and lasting impact on the participants and partner associations of the project, so that these, at the same time, can be broadcasters and promoters of an effective change in the adaptation of inclusive and non-discriminatory language. In this regard, we believe that our general and specific objectives perfectly match the priorities of the ERASMUS + program for 2020: - Reach out to marginalized youth; promote diversity, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, common values of freedom, tolerance and respect for human rights, as well as projects that enhance media literacy, critical thinking and youth initiative; As needs we pursue with this exchange would be: - Understand functional diversity as a phenomenon, present fact or characteristic, differentiating its classes and levels. - Promote solidarity among young participants and their associations. The awareness and commitment of young people to the current problem that affects people with some kind of functional diversity. - Promote participation in democratic life in Europe and in the labor market, active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity. - Improve the level of skills and key competences of young people.
