Objectives

Global emissions are reaching unprecedented levels that seem to have not yet reached their peak. The last four years have been the hottest in history and Arctic winter temperatures have increased 3 ° C since 1990. Sea levels are rising, coral reefs are dying and we are beginning to see the fatal impact of climate change in health through air pollution, heat waves and food safety risks. The impacts of climate change are felt everywhere and are having very real consequences on people's lives. National economies are being affected by climate change, which today is costing us dearly and will be even more expensive. But it is beginning to recognize that there are now affordable and scalable solutions that will allow us to make the leap to cleaner and more resilient economies. The great challenges facing climate change must be transformed into opportunities. With this idea we must move towards sustainable economies and ways of life capable of generating activities that promote job creation, directly or indirectly, both in the sectors traditionally linked to environmental management, as in the new deposits that emerge from the change of model productive. Green jobs are those that reduce the environmental impact of companies and economic sectors to reach sustainable levels. These are jobs that help reduce the consumption of energy, raw materials and water through efficiency strategies, decarbonize the economy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, reduce or completely avoid all forms of waste and pollution, and protect Ecosystems and biodiversity. That is why, as the oldest youth movement in the world and linked from our origins as an entity to the protection and preservation of the natural environment and the earth we cannot look the other way without contributing to our grain of sand through several annual proposals that we carry out: Recycling workshops with the smallest, calculation of the ecological footprint, reforestation, responsible consumption, etc. So this year we decided to contribute to "stop" the consequences of climate change through awareness, information and training in the exchange that we are going to present called "S.O.S EARTH" The needs of this exchange are: 1- Know in depth the phenomenon of climate change, in order to recognize the roots of the problem; and know about its consequences. 2- Know what real solutions exist to reduce their impact. 3 - Create cooperation networks between the partner countries of the exchange to work on common proposals on pollution reduction and sustainable projects. 4 - Know what are the sustainable employment sites of the immediate future and have possibilities to access them. 5- Be able to participate in European youth mobility programs such as the ERASMUS + program and benefit from its possibilities. We propose the following general objectives that cover those needs: - Inform, train and discuss climate change and its consequences. - Provide joint solutions to reduce the impact of climate change within an international network. - Inform and train about the new sustainable employment sites as new opportunities for access to the labor market and reduction of the carbon footprint. Specific objectives:   - Know the main consequences of climate change for water, energy, landscape, soil and our health - Know what we can do individually, as a school and as a community to live a more sustainable and healthy life - Use games, debates, experiments, theater, newspapers among others to support and improve learning - Know 5 different cultures to ours. - Get to know a country like Spain, its customs, traditions, population, cities, etc. - Learn new languages and strengthen English. - Live a European youth mobility experience through the Erasmus + program. These objectives are fully consistent and aligned with the priorities of the European Commission and the Erasmus + 2020-2027 program: - Promote diversity, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, common values of freedom, tolerance and respect for human rights, as well as projects that enhance media literacy, critical thinking and youth initiative. - Fight against climate change by investing more efforts in information, training and actions on sustainable consumption and support for sustainable employment sites. - Promote greater quality in sustainable work in the youth field, in particular through greater cooperation between youth organizations and other stakeholders.
