The Migrarte project sought to raise young people's awareness of migration as a historical and global phenomenon, and to understand the importance of social inclusion of migrants from a human rights approach in the local context of young people in Spain and Italy. The project achieved these objectives through non-formal education and a series of interconnected activities that fostered young people's critical thinking, intercultural dialogue and appropriation of democratic values. In addition, the project improved the young people's English language skills, increased their knowledge about the European Union and the rules and institutions that favour social inclusion, and improved their soft skills, such as effective communication and teamwork. The project provided young people with tools and knowledge to analyse the causes and consequences of migration processes, as well as to address the issue of non-discrimination and respect for human rights, and to improve their ability to work in a multicultural society.
