Through "Solidarity without Borders" project, we have sought to work by non-formal education and intercultural dialogue and exchange, with new practical tools to promote a culture of peace and the prevention of violent behavior in their respective societies. In the writing and planning of this project, we focus on raising awareness in European countries regarding migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, in order to facilitate their inclusion in the host society and prevent violence generated by social exclusion. But we know that this is not enough, that the situation remains critical and that is why we must continue working to create a more prolific culture of peace, more respectful of all people, regardless of their origin, race or religion. For this reason, through Solidarity without Borders we wanted to influence the necessary objectives for a better integration of migrants and refugees in Europe. Therefore, the objectives of this project have focused on: GENERAL OBJECTIVES: - Promote and disseminate the notions of diversity, plurality, equity and tolerance among the various sectors of civil society; - Promote a proactive citizenship in the creation of a culture of peace; - Reflect on the democratic ideals promoted by the EU, emphasizing the relationship between democratic values and practices and peaceful coexistence. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: - Provide participants with theoretical and practical knowledge about violence and its dimensions. For this we have focused on the analysis of the Syrian and Afghan conflict and the refugee crisis; - Carry out activities such as the presentation of the national situation, exchanges of experiences, discussion groups, etc.; - Develop activities aimed at designing initiatives that contribute to promoting the social inclusion of refugees, as well as promoting, among the population, values, knowledge, attitudes and behaviors that lead to the strengthening of a democratic political culture and peace; - Design and create applicable materials in the context of non-formal education to encourage critical reflection and combat prejudice towards the refugee population, to make available to all youth workers and other people interested in this field. - Establish contact with local immigrant or refugee organizations, which allow knowledge of the problem dealt with. As well as the design and application of a social intervention in situ in this field; - Carry out team building activities, role-plays, team work, debates, exchange of experiences, etc.
