In the project “Climate Change? Change Yourself”, we wanted to give an informative approach so that youth can mobilize on a topic as up-to-date as the effects of Climate Change. These small initiatives serve to provide tools and encourage the entrepreneurial spirit of the young population. Following the philosophy of Erasmus Plus, which is the integration of people, it allowed the creation of friendship and professional networks for the future. To do this, Avaaz was used as a tool to spread the initiatives. The youth exchange had three main objectives: 1. Connect, engage and empower youth to participate in civic life, using the power of their collective voice to advocate, lobby and lead campaigns to adopt environmentally friendly practices, create innovative and sustainable environmental solutions, promote diversity, social inclusion and intercultural learning. 2. Help young people to develop, positively impacting mental health and physical health, developing skills that will be useful to young people in their careers and future lives (such as communication skills, self-confidence, problem solving, construction relationships, creativity, resilience, and emotional intelligence). 3. Disseminate our proposals through social networks or other online interactions to discuss, debate and advocate for better protection of the environment, using platforms for gathering support (avaaz.org). In conclusion, the project provided young people with skills and methods for their professional and personal development, transmitting to them the fundamental common values of our society, which are linked to the objective of Erasmus +, specifically sustainable development in Europe.
