What did we want to achieve with the implementation of the project? We wanted to fight for self-organization, empowerment and awareness of active citizen participation of the young participants. For us it is of vital importance to create a common space where all young people participate, we want that through this project young people can reflect and be able to make a different interpretation of themselves and understand that they are influential for social change in their communities. , that take as tools everything that this project is responsible for showing, tools such as camaraderie, respect, intercultural communication, teamwork, positive reinforcement, etc. What have been the objectives of the project? We wanted to create groups that during the exchange and afterwards can promote peaceful coexistence and reflection on social issues. We wanted to put all this into practice through non-formal education as an essential means and different educational and sports activities. We want to fight against abandonment between the Roma and non-Roma community, social exclusion and lack of youth participation, also among young participants from other countries, most of the young participants come from economically depressed preferential action neighborhoods and at risk of exclusion with lack of opportunities. We want inclusion to be a fundamental part of the entire process, inclusion and equity are the foundations on which our work rests. We also want to promote dialogue between gypsies and non-gypsies at all levels, based on respect and tolerance, emphasizing the cultural richness of the different peoples who live in the neighborhoods of Parla, Madrid.
