Organized by Boodaville Association (with 8 years experience organizing courses and workcamps at a sustainable design demonstration site) in collaboration with Pipirimosca (with 20 years experience) 30 participants from 5 European countries will come together in an environmental education centre in Valls (Tarragona, Spain) for 10 days, taking part in non-formal education through varied activities, of which the principal tasks are practical work in cradle to cradle projects. The objectives identified are; educate young people about ecology and systems thinking, work together with them on a solution, giving them practical skill development, fixing and making. They’ll share this solution with local people (where the project takes place) and mobilize them to share this where they live. The entire program will take place in an interesting and pleasant atmosphere in a natural environment that reinforces the learning of environmental topics such as reuse of resources and permaculture design. Also, combining living in a natural environment with non-formal education will lead to increased sensitivity about the importance of nature in all parts of our lives and a determination to be resourceful, not wasteful. We want to encourage a realistic and open vision in the face of current environmental problems.
