In the Brisa Intercultural team, we realized that the love of music is one of the hobbies that unites all people. Through music and dance, it can effectively communicate emotions that we would not otherwise be able to verbalize. This project sought to help young people use music as a method of self-reflection and communication, turning them into active users, being able to use music and dance as a means of communication and self-awareness. Another key aspect of this project is to see music as an intercultural bridge. Music and dance are often the first aspects of a different culture we meet, and the ones that are most accepted and celebrated. We wanted to take this as an advantage for intercultural understanding, using music as a bridge between cultures and traditions. The goals of "Musical Souls" were: - Help participants to understand and express themselves using music and dance as a method. - Investigate different forms of expression (within music and dance) so that each person can explore all areas and choose what works for them. - Improve the self-esteem and confidence of the participants. - Use music and dance as a tool to feel understood and accompanied and thus strengthen the self-esteem of the participants. - Increase cultural and self awareness through non-formal educational methods. - Develop self-reflection as a habit among the participants. - Publicize the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ program, as well as other programs financed with European funds. - Strengthen understanding and interest in other cultures and their points of view, basic concepts and peculiarities through intercultural learning. - Increase levels of tolerance, peace and cooperation. - Create strong connections between participants by sharing their cultures and experiences.
