Based on the figures that reflect the complex situation of young people in the European Mediterranean countries, a youth exchange project was proposed to promote youth participation through film in the face of poverty and the situation of young people in both Spain and Italy. through cinema in the face of social inclusion framed by poverty and the situation of young people in Spain and Italy. The aim was to understand the impact of social exclusion due to socioeconomic conditions so that young people could assume personal and collective alternatives, through film and photography. The project was thought to be a suitable tool for the exchange of perspectives thanks to film as a process to narrate certain experiences of social inclusion in the face of poverty. It would also allow the empowerment and recognition of the difference of young people and their contexts that have the potential to be represented through an audiovisual project; putting young people at the center of this project in its different stages.
