Imagine the possibilities of a global community coming together to drive positive social change through peace, health and education all over the world. Sport can play a vital role by bringing millions of people of all ages together to set common goals and to foster peaceful cooperation to achieve them. The participants of this project will advocate what sport can accomplish in your community and around the world. As you play today, think about the power of sport, how it benefits your health, fosters peaceful cooperation, enables learning, and builds your community. Think beyond today but to the future; how you as an individual can help the world achieve all the Sustainable Development Goals and how you will continue to be part of a global team to play for this purpose. Discover your potential. Share your stories. Spread your goodwill. This is what the participants going to address through this project. We hope that people will continue to use the Games, not only as a day of fun and community solidarity but as a special opportunity to focus on all that sports can teach us – the life skills of winning and losing with grace and dignity, of showing respect for others, practicing the fair play, tolerance and understanding, learning teamwork and how to make your bodies healthy and strong. Each of us can think about what we can do to make the world a better place. Boys and girls, children and youth, playing together in friendship throughout the world are a powerful force for this purpose and our future. This is what Games for Peace can accomplish. We should all spread the messages of respect, solidarity and tolerance – and take action to improve health and education. Operating in the spirit of fair play, tolerance and social inclusion, Games for Peace will use sport as an innovative instrument of education, providing the opportunity for youngsters to make the most of themselves both mentally and physically. Regular physical exercise and team-play preserves health, prevents drug-addiction and committing criminal offenses, strengthens community, offer goals and renders energy in everyday life thus helping the overall development of our target group. It is our top priority that our participants play together with various social groups in our own championship and other events to celebrate the contribution of children and youth to the achievement of the goals for peace, nonviolence and human development, and to unite their voices and support through the universal language of sport. Our project will be a good chance to promote peace and the best way, to do this is to do it through games that will have healthy behaviors, in particular the practice of outdoor activities and grassroots sports as a means to promote healthy lifestyles. We want to encourage young people living in different countries to participate in our project under the frame of Erasmus + and through, using sport and outdoor activities, games and team works, to spread the message of peace and all together to show to the world the real example of peace. The reason why we are planning to use sports activities is because, we want to direct young people to spend their free time in a healthy way, away from the contemporary temptations which unfortunately have more and more followers among young people. It's just a small part of the description that promises not just a project, but as we hope, the beginning of a new trend. The project aims to : - To promote peace and to spread the peace messages between participants from 5 countries - To break the stereotypes and prejudices between the youngsters and together to spread the message of peace to the world - Encourage young people towards a better understanding of outdoor activities and the importance of exercise in our life - Developing an intercultural dialogue between 30 European youngsters from 5 different countries through activities based on non-formal education, which highlight the traditional customs of their countries - To involve youngsters coming from families with economical disadvantages into cultural and social activities - Offer a space for intercultural integration, promoting a culture of dialogue, tolerance and greater understanding - To improve the following skills of the participants: communication and team-building skills, creativity and self-confidence - Organize a "Games for Peace" exhibition and a blog with the most representative photographs taken by participants during the exchange - To raise awareness of the use of media and digital technology between young people.
