Objectives

The main reason we applied to this project is the recent revelation that every member of the participating organizations has been a witness or a victim of bullying. This shocking discovery inspired us to act because we believe in a change towards positive, and we are aware of the impact we can create. We each have within ourselves the ability to shape our own lives. That much we understand. But, more important, each of us has an equal ability to shape the lives of others. The effects of whatever we do - insignificant as it may seem - are reaching an impact far beyond us. We may never know what far-reaching impact even the most straightforward action might have on our society and our fellow lives. We aimed to teach youngsters to realize the long-lasting consequences, that words and actions can have, both negative and positive. As we acknowledged the vast frequency of bullying in the now-days world, we realized the need for such a Youth Exchange as we might start a change in the lives of perceptions of our participants, their local societies, and Europe in general. We want to move towards love, acceptance, growth, and understanding. As more, the frequent use of social media nowadays is creating low self-esteem in young people, because they are not yet able to think critically enough to distinguish the truth from falsity. This skill is crucial for young people to learn because, at this age, their perception of the world is forming and their understanding of themselves and others is. The main issue we wanted to touch on during this project is- the effect of our perception of our actions. The main objectives of our project are such as the following: - To educate young people about the types of bullying (Physical bullying, Verbal bullying, Socialbullying, Cyberbullying); - To make youngsters aware of the long-lasting impact that buying carries (as mentioned above); - To encourage youngsters to make a difference and join the fight against bullying; - Educating participants on the various social and ethnic groups in our society; - To educate youngsters on the benefits of non-formal learning and its methods; - Through active participation, provide a guide, that will be distributed in schools in all the partner countries; - Encouraging intercultural dialogue and active citizenship through group activities; - Through active participation in the project, inspire young people to be enterprising, creative, and aware; - Let young people organize group work, take risks and responsibilities among themselves; - Exchange of ideas on cooperation between non-governmental organizations at the international level; - Raise young people's awareness of the impact of human actions in society; - As a result of the Youth Exchange, create an easy-to-follow guide on preventing bullying, that can bring an impact in long term; - To encourage young people in taking the initiative and being active in their societies; - To promote social inclusion and acceptance among youngsters; - To bring a positive and long-lasting impact in our community by teaching empathy and understanding.
