Objectives

Considering that disinformation is "a verifiably false or misleading information created and disseminated for economic gain or to intentionally deceive the public" it has shown that these actions may have far-reaching consequences, causing public harm. By building online media literacy and digital skills, it will counter disinformation. By focusing on critical thinking competences, young people can evaluate the relationships they build online and the vast amount of information available, that can often be manipulative and inaccurate which many times they share and spread it but even more, it can save lives. By building young people resilience, it will develop active participation and constructive engagement to cope adaptively and bounce back after changes, challenges, disappointments, and failures as individuals and as societies. Youth workers are needed to help young people to respond, recover and ultimately thrive with two key skills for uncertain times: resilience and critical thinking. The project aims to improve youth workers skills and share experience with their peers on resilience and critical thinking for youngsters particularly with young people that face disadvantages socioeconomic that have been declared to be increased in this crisis and thus increased in emotional problems, poverty, lack of opportunity, unemployment, social isolation.
