The training was intended to be an opportunity for sharing experiences, collective expertise and mutual enrichment for those involved and to support their professional development. The possibility of comparing their practices with those of other European volunteers and professionals should strengthen European cooperation in the youth field and increase their skills. The realisation of the tri-national training course was also intended to contribute to the recognition of non-formal education and lifelong learning in Germany, Spain, France and elsewhere. We wanted to make the participants aware of the various international mobility schemes (including those of Erasmus+ and the FOJ). We wanted to impart basic knowledge about the conditions, realities and complexity of a bi-, tri- or plurilateral (international) encounter, while allowing the participants to live this experience themselves and to reflect on it within the framework of the training. > To ensure reflection on thematic issues such as intercultural and diversity learning (cross-cutting theme): > Knowledge of the countries involved > Role and posture of facilitators > Intercultural teamwork > Project and programme design > Meeting and group dynamics > Methods of intercultural encounter work > Youth cultures and target groups > Implementation of multilingual communication > Evaluation/assessment and reflection > Institutional framework of youth encounters > To provide methods for intercultural work and the conditions and confidence to develop an autonomous and flexible approach to international encounters and/or the management of multicultural groups > To develop curiosity and a lasting interest in youth encounters, international youth work, other countries and intercultural issues > To make participants aware of intercultural processes on the basis of their own experience and to enable them, by reflecting on their own intercultural learning processes, to gain a better understanding of the mechanisms and effects of intercultural communication, so that they themselves will be in a position to accompany young people in the long term > To make the participants aware of the local dimension of their intercultural learning process > To strengthen the personal development of the participants > To initiate and accompany each participant in an individual learning process, so that they become aware of their own competences and take responsibility for acquiring the competences necessary to lead youth meetings > To raise awareness of the motivation and personal objectives leading to involvement in international youth exchanges and to reflect on the posture that follows from this > To address the issues of transferability, transmissibility or possibilities of implementation in voluntary or professional teaching practice (locally, internationally, interculturally) In addition to these transversal competences, we wanted to enable the participants to discover ways of involving young people "far from mobility" in international projects: It would be necessary to know the obstacles that make the participation of certain young people in international projects less likely, to acquire certain notions on how to manage conflicts in a constructive manner, to know the possibility of virtual intercultural exchanges as a tool for inclusion, to know methods for reacting to sexist and homophobic reflexes or behaviours and to address the question of gender in a calm manner in any meeting of young people - to know examples of exchanges with young people with disabilities to know about the educational and financial resources offered by the FOJ and Erasmus+ to carry out an inclusive project, to know about the possibilities of involving the local community and why it is worthwhile, to know about the principles of active pedagogy/experiential learning in nature and why it can be a good way to work with complex groups.
