CAP'FEM is a new association created by women to support their dynamism in society and to work on issues that affect them globally. We carry out militant actions in order to make society aware of certain shortcomings and discrimination of which women are victims in the world. We are sources of proposals and action, in all areas, including sports. Women's sport is full of great results. However, women have never participated in sport, both in competition and in daily practice, to the same extent and in the same way as men due to the roles and stereotypes imposed by society. Therefore, despite this success, women's sport has its dark side: the lack of visibility on an equal footing with men's sport and the persistent obstacles that women in sport face, such as job insecurity, low media coverage, the existence of anti-pregnancy clauses, inequality in the support received, the salary gap, the lack of conciliation, the difference in prices... In addition, women's sports are not well treated in the media. Although they are transmitters of models and values and have a great influence on the visibility of women's sports, they do not contribute to eliminate all those sexist stereotypes that persist in the sports world. The media play a major role today. Social networks are media that we use daily and in which it is necessary to take care of the language and images used, highlighting sportswomen showing an appropriate image and avoiding roles and stereotypes. Therefore, through this training project, we wanted to address issues such as discrimination against women in sport and communication as a tool for transformation and give youth workers a set of tools to enable young people in their local community to learn to use language to bring about change and highlight actions dissolving stereotypes and roles that perpetuate inequality. The main objectives of this project were to - To fight against the discrimination faced by women in sport. - To make visible and value the achievements of women in the field of sports. - To become aware of the need for training in gender issues for youth workers. - To exchange experiences, good practices and methodological tools concerning sport and women. - To launch a visibility and awareness campaign on women in sport in the media. - To create a network of partnerships to develop future projects to promote gender equality in sport. The "Women's Spring" was a space of meeting and intercultural dialogue between participants from different countries where they could share their experiences using an inclusive and non-sexist language to make visible the role of women in sport in the media. We realized it with all the partners of this project in Noise-le-Grand.
