Objectives

TESEA is a young association composed in majority by young people, and a big part of them lives in the popular districts of Bordeaux. We have activities in several sectors including everything that affects the daily life of young people and adults too. We want to make the link between young people from migration, often in perpetual conflict with the authorities (police, City Hall, Government, problematic with the laws on migration, etc. ...). ). We do activities that tend to create links, to do socio-cultural mediation. All the tools are useful for this purpose, like sport. This project is a summary of the activities we do every day in favor of our public. The project "Intercultural Mediation through Sport" is a mobility of youth workers in the framework of the Erasmus+ program. The main objective of this project was to give youth workers working in sports associations and/or working in culturally mixed areas, a set of tools and instruments such as sports, to encourage communication and intercultural dialogue among young people in their local communities. With this project, we wanted to promote sport as a method of dialogue and intercultural learning in order to accept diversity in all sectors of society, especially among young people. The specific objectives of this project were as follows: 1. To promote communication, socialization and intercultural dialogue through sport. 2. To promote sport as a tool for intercultural learning and integration of young people with fewer opportunities. 3. To exchange experiences, good practices and methodological tools related to sport and interculturality. 4. To create a network of partnerships committed to sport and interculturality in future projects. 5. To promote the use of the Erasmus+ program as a tool for the development of intercultural skills in young people. We mobilized 25 youth workers to train youth workers in intercultural learning using sports activities as a method of non-formal education.
