Objectives

Despite efforts at EU and national level, the amount of waste generated is not going down. Annual waste generation from all economic activities in the EU amounts to 2.5 billion tonnes, or 5 tonnes per capita a year, and each citizen produces on average nearly half a tonne of municipal waste. The decoupling of waste generation from economic growth will require considerable effort across the whole value chain and in every home. Hence, our project's aimed to help participants realize the actuality of the Environmental and Climate change problems, understand the role of inappropriate waste management in it, manage to change our attitudes and behaviors and spread gained knowledge and experience worldwide through creating TOOLKIT. The objectives of the TC were: O1. To gain a better understanding of the Erasmus+ Programme in general and how it supports Environmental projects O2. To show up and visualize the challenges existing in our countries O3. To realize, reveal and speak up about Environmental and Climate change problems worldwide O4. To explore waste reduction management topics and gain practical skills how to change our behaviors O5. To introduce Eco-Village functioning of real-life example and linked business model practice O6. To get closer to the Circular Economy (CE) idea as one of the best practices for reaching sustainable development goals O7. To create a supportive toolkit for youth workers how to develop their working proficiency in Environmental and Climate Change topics
