Objectives

By implementing the “Economy for Ecology (EFE)” project, we aimed to equip 26 Georgian and Guadeloupean participants aged 16-25 with the new competencies and experience on the topic of Green Economy to further promote the concept of green entrepreneurship in their communities. Therefore as envisioned, the project promoted Green Initiatives and Green Entrepreneurship ideas among 26 female and male youngsters from Guadeloupe and Georgia and equipped them with basic methods to transfer new knowledge to their peers and communities. The young people aged worked together for nine days to develop and advance green initiatives and green business ideas, intending to advocate the importance of environmentally friendly business practices. To reach the main aim, first following objectives were achieved: - Raised participants’ awareness on green entrepreneurship and learn how to start it; - Participants learned from each-other how individual attitudes and behaviors may perpetuate Climate Change and explored opportunities to live eco- friendlier (causes, consequences, impacts on local and global level, eco- friendly living). - They gained new competencies for promoting green business and eco-friendly lifestyle back to their communities as an alternative to industrial business and consumerism. - They promoted Erasmus+ and youth opportunities in their respective countries and among our peers. The project achieved envisioned objectives as it was shown in the final evaluation report, as well as in individual testimonials and follow-up activities. Moreover, youngsters involved in the project reported increased knowledge about Erasmus+ Programme and such opportunities like ESC, Training courses, Youth exchanges and at the same time, after first and positive mobility experience to get them inspired to look for different opportunities under Erasmus+ or other programmes. And lastly, we aimed at increasing awareness of project participants, as well as the local community of Guadeloupe about the European projects, EU values, European Citizenship and increasing motivation for taking part in non-formal training activities. This was achieved by spreading project outputs and by outdoor event (number of young people approaching BWA Lansan with the request to provide more information about Erasmus+ mobility projects).
