Ha probléma merül fel, keressen. Üdvözlettel Gelencsér Ágota / Mrs. Ágota Gelencsé The aim of our project was to achieve a double exchange of experience with young people from 4 countries aged 16-24, (16 being disadvantaged) in Sosto/Nyiregyhaza-Stip N.Macedonia. The initiative started from the bottom up, to make a double exchange of 9 days each, for young people to acquire new knowledge about drugs, so that they acquire self-defence mechanisms that will help them in dangerous situations related to drug use so that they can develop a preventive thinking, in order to avoid danger. On the other hand, our goal was for young people to acquire knowledge, skills, and abilities, competencies, which allow them to detect the appearance of drugs in the environment in which they live and among those of their generation, to help and transmit a preventive attitude towards drug use. By achieving these long-term goals, we contributed to the reducing of drug use among young people, to creating a positive influence on young communities of the same generation. Our program sounded the alarm about this serious problem, focusing on areas which still have not been covered by drug prevention work. By emphasizing the importance of ways of learning from each other, the help given by those of the same age was enhanced. The purpose of the thematic activities carried out at these youth exchange programs of young groups was to make young people understand the causes that led to drug addiction of some people. In addition to understanding the causes, the participants acquired the necessary information, as well as the skills that would help them to prevent the use of hallucinogenic substances, moreover, to know the actions that have to be taken if someone needs help. The activities carried out together with the young participants in these exchanges had matters with interactive content through which the young people were helped to know themselves better, to know their self-motivation, receiving at the same time a series of methods for revealing feelings, to make them stronger, more aware and conscious to develop their personality, in order to be able to oppose to drug use. Apart from this aspect, of course, we did not neglect the theoretical part either, which is a fundamental criterion, in order to make ourselves understood and able to offer help. In terms of methods, the spectrum was diverse. At the beginning, the non-formal pedagogical methods were in the foreground, completed with lectures, debates, realization of projects and individual activities. The project was carried out by organizations from Hungary, Romania, Poland and Slovakia, through a partnership that had already worked well from the planning stage of gathering the ideas underlying the project.
